Some years it’s filled with warmth, connection, and laughter…
and other years it’s a day that quietly magnifies whatever we’re going through.
I’ve had Thanksgivings where I sat alone, literally in tears.
There was something about knowing everyone else was gathered with their loved ones that made the loneliness feel sharper… like the whole world was celebrating while I was on the outside looking in. Everyone was so happy and loving each other.
And then there are the Thanksgivings where families are together…
but the tension is so thick you can practically taste it.
The whole day becomes a mix of unspoken resentment, forced smiles, and whispered complaints.
It’s funny, isn’t it?
No version is perfect.
Every experience; whether quiet, chaotic, loving, or lonely, has its magical moments… and its annoying ones.
That’s the real truth of life:
everything is imperfect, and everything is sacred. Everything is perfectly imperfect.
The question isn’t “How do I make this day perfect?”
It’s “How can I flow with what is, and still find gratitude?”
Gratitude doesn’t mean pretending everything feels amazing.
It means letting things be exactly as they are… and still allowing a softening in your heart.
A moment of presence.
A tiny opening that says:
“Even in this… there is something I can be grateful for.”
Wherever you are this Thanksgiving surrounded by people or quietly on your own; I hope you feel that soft opening.
I hope you give yourself permission to simply be human.
And I hope the day unfolds in whatever way is “perfect as it is.”
Wishing you a peaceful and real Thanksgiving.
A Little Gift for You – 12-Minute Breathwork Resets Start December 1st
If you’ve been wanting more grounding, more focus, or a moment to reset your nervous system… I have something simple, doable, and powerful coming in December.
Starting December 1st, I’ll be guiding 12-minute Breathwork Resets
every Monday and Thursday from 6:30–6:45am (PST).
These sessions are for busy people who don’t have a lot of time, but want the benefits of:
- clearer focus
- better decision making
- more productivity
- reduced stress
- increased emotional regulation
- a calmer, more centered start to the day
Why 12 minutes?
Studies show that just 12 minutes of mindfulness practice can improve attention span, enhance mental clarity, and shift the nervous system.
It’s the minimum effective dose; where the brain and body begin to change.
Each session, we’ll practice a different breathwork modality.
And if you miss one, you’ll receive the recording, available for a few days so you can still reset on your own time.
If you’d like to join us, you can sign up here: www.breathbodyconnection.com/bw
Once you sign up, you’ll automatically receive the Zoom link.
Sending you virtual hugs.
Warmly
Linda
