Deep Breathing Techniques For Anxiety
Anxiety is not just in your head, it lives in Your Body and Nervous System
Understanding Anxiety & Why It Escalates
What Happens When Anxiety Is Left Untreated?
Anxiety, when not addressed at the root, often deepens into depression and over time, panic attacks. Your nervous system can only hold so much tension before it breaks down, just like your physical body.
Nearly 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives. (National Institute of Mental Health)
Imagine walking on a broken leg for years without treating it. Eventually, it throws your entire body out of alignment and causes chronic pain. Emotional wounds work the same way but in our society, emotional pain isn’t treated as urgently as physical pain.
Research shows that untreated emotional trauma can manifest as physical illness including headaches, digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, and chronic fatigue.
The Root Cause of Anxiety is Personal
Anxiety Isn’t Random. It Has a Story. For some, anxiety begins with childhood trauma. For others, it’s chronic stress, relationship pain, or feeling unsafe in an unstable world. For me, it was growing up in and out of war zones. That instability shaped my nervous system. Even today, I feel the impact in my body when the world feels chaotic-tight chest, shallow breath, racing mind.
Trauma experts like Gabor Maté note that anxiety is often a response to early environments where safety or connection was disrupted.
The difference is, I now have tools to return to a grounded, centered state quickly, not because life got easier, but because I healed the root of those patterns.
Why Talk Therapy Isn’t Always Enough
Why Somatic Healing Works When Talking Doesn’t
You can talk about being anxious, stuck, or angry for years and still find yourself triggered. That’s because these reactions aren’t just mental. They live in your body.
Soma means body.
Somatic healing works with the body to unwind trauma responses. Through deep breathing techniques, somatic integration, NLP, TRE and sound therapy, we teach your nervous system how to feel safe again.
A 2014 study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that body-based therapies reduced PTSD symptoms significantly more than cognitive-only approaches.
Another study from the Journal of Traumatic Stress showed deep breathing techniques reduced anxiety symptoms by over 40% after just a few sessions.
This isn’t about managing symptoms; it’s about healing the root.
Your Body Holds the Key to Longterm Transformation
When the Body Heals, the Mind Follows:
Perfectionism, people-pleasing, overworking, hyper-vigilance: these are not personality flaws. They’re adaptive patterns we learned as kids to stay safe, loved, or in control.
According to research from Harvard Health, chronic stress from early life experiences rewires the brain and nervous system, making the body more prone to anxiety, illness, and burnout in adulthood.
As we carry these patterns into adulthood, they begin to run our lives and eventually drain the joy and energy from us. Deep breath work techniques help release these patterns at the nervous system level, so we don’t just understand them, we transform them.
The Tools I Use to Heal Your Anxiety
Breath work & TRE: Reset your nervous system and shift your inner state from survival to calm
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP): Rewire limiting thought patterns at the subconscious level
Somatic Exercises: Complete unprocessed stress cycles and release tension held in the body
Cranial Sacral & Fascia Release: Let go of stored trauma in the body that talk therapy can’t always reach
Life Coaching: Be deeply supported as we gently guide your system back into safety
Stanford University research has shown that certain breathwork techniques can lower stress hormones and increase emotional regulation more effectively than meditation.

Whether you’re facing general anxiety, chronic stress, or full-blown panic, healing is not only possible, it’s your birthright.
Your nervous system wants to return to balance. Somatic tools simply show it how.
If you’re ready to move beyond coping into true healing, I invite you to take the first step.
My own journey through anxiety and instability taught me that healing isn’t just about changing thoughts, it’s about releasing what’s stored in the body.
Through breathing exercises for anxiety and body-based wisdom, I’ll walk alongside you as you reconnect with the strength and inner peace that’s already inside you.
TESTIMONIALS
Linda has been a blessing in my life and a beautiful force for positive change. I came to her seeking a way to manage trauma and emotional dysregulation with a primary focus on the body rather than the mind since I was already working with talk therapist. She does that and so much more.
Linda helped me connect to myself, recognize negative patterns, and rewire my thinking in ways I never anticipated. I have shifted emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically and have a greater sense of how these systems integrate.
She makes me feel safe, is encouraging without judgement, and creates the loveliest environment for healing. Traditional talk therapy has its place, but somatic breath work with Linda is exceptional. She has given me tools to help me through a lifetime of healing and positive growth.

Linda is very kind, qualified and knowledgeable. My sessions with her and the breathing exercises she gave me have been very helpful with my anxiety and sleep difficulties. I am very grateful.

Linda is an absolute gift. In such a short time, she has helped me work through emotions I hadn’t been able to face in over 10 years of therapy.
Her breathwork bridges the gap between mind and body, guiding me through healing in ways traditional therapy never could. She has helped me process and move past PTSD, night terrors, and struggles with an eating disorder in ways I never thought possible.
Through her coaching guidance, I’ve learned to sit with the scariest, most intense emotions without fear, knowing I am safe. Her presence is grounding, her energy is deeply calming and genuine, and I am endlessly grateful for the peace and transformation she has brought into my life.

I attended a workshop with Linda on how to use breathwork to deal with anxiety. We practiced various breathing techniques including coherent breathing, 4-7-8 and dynamic breathing. It has had huge benefit in making me feel calmer and in improving my mood. Linda also covered visualization and meditation. Linda created a physical environment which is very conducive to such techniques and Linda is a wonderful instructor. I hope to make these practices a part of my daily routine.

In a mere 3 months working with Linda has been completely life altering for me. I am a completely different person. At peace, happy, calm, free of past memories that had haunted me for decades. And I feel empowered to greet the future with confidence and joy. Cannot recommend Linda highly enough.
My medical doctor recommended Linda. He could tell that I was storing trauma and said she was the person who could help release it.
I’ve gone to many therapists, done emotional release work and talk therapy. But In a mere 3 months working with Linda has been completely life altering for me. I have suffered from adrenal fatigue for about 30 years which no doctor could correct, severe insomnia that nothing could help, would collapse daily to nap. I would have about three hours in the morning where I could function, and after that I was virtually nonfunctional from fatigue. I also had nearly monthly outbreaks for 48 years of herpes simplex 2.
But since our very first appointment I have not had any more outbreaks, I don’t need naps anymore, I’m able to stay up later, socialize with friends because I have enough energy now. I am getting peaceful sleep, and my adrenals have finally corrected themselves.
I am a completely different person-I feel empowered to greet the future with confidence and joy. Cannot recommend Linda highly enough.

Frequently Asked Questions
I work with clients healing from childhood trauma, emotional neglect, sexual abuse, narcissistic relationships, and patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and low self-worth.
We do start with personal history intake, however it is probably different than what you are used to because the questions are directed to your subconscious mind, so you will think about the events from a different perspective. Then we focus more on what’s happening now in your body, your emotions, and your life—and taking massive action toward how you want to feel and be and what you want to do and have.
I do work with a lot of clients that have either already done therapy or add my program while they are in therapy. This program goes deeper than talk therapy. We work somatically, intuitively, and holistically to create long lasting shifts.
The first step is to book a free discovery call. We’ll talk about what you’re going through, what you want, and whether this is the right fit for you. You can also download the FREE Breath work & Meditation Guide above and start your practice.
