I’ve asked myself this question countless times; usually when I’m exhausted, overwhelmed, or just plain tired of the grind:

Why am I here? What’s this all for?  What is my purpose in this life?

So much of life seems wrapped around surviving or striving. Working hard to pay the bills. Chasing financial success. Building wealth. Growing a business. Everywhere I look (especially on social media) the message is loud and clear, make more money. Be more successful. Look younger, skinnier, more polished.

We’re constantly shown pictures of people in big homes with shiny cars, vacations in exotic places and the illusion of having “figured it all out.” And without realizing it, we start believing that they must be living better, more meaningful lives than the rest of us.

But are they?

And more importantly… Why are we all chasing the same things?

Why are we trying to look younger, thinner, richer, more sophisticated, when each of us is wired so differently?

What if we’ve been asking the wrong questions?

Instead of How do I get more? maybe we need to ask:

  • What actually makes me feel alive?
  • When do I feel most like myself?
  • What moments bring me peace, joy, love, or deep fulfillment?

For me, I’ve come to realize that I’m here to connect.
To feel. To love. To laugh. To serve. To sit with another human and feel our hearts meet.

That’s when I’m in my truth. That’s when I feel most alive.

But if I’m honest?
My day-to-day actions often don’t reflect that.

They’re filled with to-do lists, building my business, managing bills, creating future security. All important, but are they aligned with my deepest purpose?  I get so buried in what I have to do that I forget my true purpose.

So here’s the invitation: for you and for me.

Start with your values.
Write down the things that truly matter to you. Not the things you think should matter, but the ones that make you really light up.

For example, here are some of mine:

  • Deep, meaningful human connection
  • Being in nature
  • Freedom, spaciousness, peace and joy
  • Helping people feel safe and thrive
  • Play, and authentic conversations

And then ask yourself the big questions:

  • Are the things I say I value reflected in how I spend my time?
  • If someone followed me around for a week, would they know what I value most?
  • What small shifts could I make to live more in alignment with what matters most to me?
  • What parts of my life feel like someone else’s version of success?
  • What do I need to let go of in order to make room for more of what I love?

It’s not about throwing away ambition or success, it’s about personalizing it for you. On your terms.

Because true success isn’t how big your house is. It’s how you feel inside of it.

So…
What do you value most?
And are you living like it matters?

If this resonates with you, I’d genuinely love to hear your answers. Send me an email at lindavazin@gmail.com or drop a message. Tell me the values that guide your life, and how they show up (or don’t yet) in your everyday world.

And if you want to work on your values, we are having a call this Wed in our women’s group to identify our values.  Join us by signing up www.breathbodyconnection.com/womens-group.

Let’s remember together why we’re really here.

Much Love
